They are now faced with another period of separation when David moves to Milan this month to play on loan for AC Milan. Victoria has decided to remain in LA with the couple’s three children, but intends to visit David as much as possible. It won’t be an easy period for the couple but to help them through it they have recently exchanged talisman necklaces. They both bear an image of the Archangel Raphael, who is considered to be the most powerful and loving angel in Heaven and is associated with healing.

The name Raphael means ‘God has helped’, which may signify to Victoria and David that their relationship has at some point been healed. Victoria told Vogue last year, “The energy they emit is incredibly powerful. These pieces act as talismans of love, healing and protection.” It is a sign to signify their commitment to each other while separated.

The necklaces which are made of gold and silver were hand-crafted by a master carver in Japan, who spends most of his days in meditation before working. With Archangel Raphael watching over them, together with the strength of their commitment to each other, Victoria and David should have nothing to worry about.
